Skilled Trades College has been in the Octagon for three years. The people watching are adults. Boxing Canada can give you the part of the fight game that hasn't chosen a career yet: more than a thousand youth boxers, registered in clubs across the country, ranked on a national list.
Ralph, when STC signed with UFC you said your students have "grit, determination, and a work ethic that are necessary in the trades." That's a fair description of a young amateur boxer, too.
You've proven combat sport works for STC. You signed with UFC and renewed twice, and you named your scholarship Building Champions. What UFC can't sell you is the athletes themselves: young people who train, make weight and get ranked, a year or two before they decide what they'll do for a living.
That's who we register. Our youth numbers have quadrupled since 2019. We'd like to put STC's name on the national youth championships and the student-athlete ranking, and give Building Champions some boxers. Amateur, Olympic-style, and Canadian all the way through.
Up from 266 in 2019. The fastest-growing group in the sport in Canada.
Almost double 2019, through a club network that runs coast to coast.
Our U19 boxers reach it inside our system. We can introduce them to you before they get there.
And 3 of 4 at Glasgow. A Building Champions story with them in it is one UFC can't give you.
UFC gives you a crowd that watches. We're offering a community that trains: teenagers in local clubs, their coaches and their parents, before anyone has told them what they're going to be.
A global audience you've already bought. Huge reach, mostly adult, mostly watching from somewhere you can't enrol them.
Young people who show up and do the work, ranked on a national list, with coaches who already talk to them about what's next. Small channels (about 19K on Instagram), so this is a community, not a media buy.
A two-year youth and student-athlete partnership. Everything here belongs to Boxing Canada to sell: no Olympic, Team Canada or World Boxing marks involved.
STC's name on the national Youth (U19) and Junior championships and the School Cup and banners. On the title, the ring, the results and the livestream.
The national ranking for student boxers carries your name. Ranked athletes in their final school year get an STC careers session, with consent, and first look at a Building Champions place.
STC places for national-team and youth athletes aged 18 and over, entered the STC way, with a short video. Our national-team athletes already work internships at the national office; a trade fits the program.
The Brampton Cup, part of our national tournament series, runs in the GTA each February. Booths, ringside signage and a "try a trade" tent next to the ring.
A Building Champions boxing page with its own campaign code, pushed through clubs, the Points List and every Youth Cup broadcast. You set the offer; we drive the entries.
Boxing Canada's hosting plan pencils in a World Boxing Cup for Calgary in 2028, the same city that has hosted our Canada Cup since 2023 and hosts the Pan American U17/U19 Championships in March 2027, a first for Canada. If we win the bid, STC gets first call on the Canadian host-partner package: an international event for a brand heading into the US.
Presence on the terms World Boxing's host agreement allows, plus everything above carried onto a world stage.
After 2022 we rebuilt: the Canadian Safe Sport Program with independent third-party complaints, mandatory training, athlete directors on our board, and a move to the Canadian Sport Governance Code.
After a death at a provincially sanctioned charity bout in 2025, an external review of all our safety policies is under way. National events run Olympic-style rules.
Anything involving U19 athletes follows safe sport rules for minors. Scholarship places start at 18, as yours do.
We think amateur, Olympic-style boxing sits outside your UFC agreement, but that's yours to check. To confirm
"UFC gave you the arena. Boxing gives you the athletes."
Come to the Elite Nationals in Membertou, Nov 17 to 21, as our guests. No fee, no commitment.
Brampton Cup: first STC presence, close to your campuses.
Calgary hosts the Pan American U17/U19 Championships. Youth season, first STC Youth Cup.
First boxing cohort starts at STC. Year-one readout: leads and enrolments.
Year one comes to about $50,000 to $60,000 in cash plus the scholarship places in kind. Indicative [Boxing Canada to set]
